“”Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?” (Malachi 2:10 NAS)

  • Another Catholic defends the historicity of Adam and Eve (whyevolutionistrue.wordpress.com)
Today, many think that Pope Pius XII’s encyclical Humani generis did not definitively exclude theological polygenism. What they fail to notice, though, is that the Holy Father clearly insists that Scripture and the Magisterium affirm that original sin “proceeds from a sin truly committed by one Adam [ab uno Adamo]” and that this sin is transmitted to all true human beings through generation (para. 37). This proves that denial of a literal Adam (and his spouse, Eve) as the sole first genuinely human parents of all true human beings is not theologically tenable.
  • It takes these two things to rule (dailymedit.com)
Jesus was called to have dominion on the earth, but he did not start that way, he was born in the manger (Luke 2:7). There, he identified with his calling as the Lamb of God (John 1:29).
Jesus would not rule if not in alignment with God, just as Adam and Eve stopped ruling when they disobeyed God, when they went out of alignment with him.

After Jesus had fulfilled the will of God on the earth, he was given the dominion. He said: all power in heaven and on the earth has been given to me (Matthew 28:18-20). He became the bread of life indeed (giving life to others) (John 6); before, the devil wanted him to turn bread to life just to feed himself.

The Bible says that God has given Jesus a name that is above every other name and that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every mouth confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:5-11). Not to willingly acknowledge the rule of Jesus will lead to being made to forcefully recognise it.

  • In Soul Food Sunday – Jesus Christ, the Creator (darcynord.wordpress.com) we once more find a good example how the Word of God is twisted and misunderstood.
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touch-this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared: we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. (1 John 1:1,2)
  • The gods or mighty ones (steppingtoes.wordpress.com)
How often we are confronted by people wanting to convince us that John, the evangelist, is speaking about Jesus being God.

A few trinitarians will even deny the significance of the article (“the”) in Scripture phrases like John 1:1,and say that theos (θεὸς) is usually translated as “God” whether it has the article or not, and, therefore, even though there is no article with theos (θεὸς) at John 1:1, the probability (they say) is very high that “theos” in John 1:1 means “God” and not “god” (or “a god”).

  • Why God Selected Us At the time of our genetic engineering, (Patrick Sullivan) (disc.yourwebapps.com)
At the time of our genetic engineering, 200,000 years ago, we were selected from a field of about 35 other hominids, similar to us. So why did our creators choose to gift us with their high level 223 psychiatric genetics?

What brought God to gift us with high-level intelligence instead of the other hominids of planet earth?

The understanding from our elders to Bitch is this; we were the gentlest of all the hominids. We had the least amount of struggle between one another. We were the kindest and sweetest of all the Simians that dwelt upon the earth. And that was why our makers chose us to receive their high level genetics and with it, our route to the stars. Do we not see that we were created by extraterrestrials to be extraterrestrials ourselves?

  • A liberal feminist comedian, her beliefs about God and how she formed them (winteryknight.wordpress.com)
I imagine God has changed over the years — He’s gone from being a person, a man, to being more of a Thing, a notion. Goodness. The Oneness of the Universe. With something female in there. The energy that keeps the whole thing afloat. God as I know it now when I know it is kind of a cocktail made from a shot of Buddhism, a shot of feminist activism and a splash of ginger ale (because that, my friends, is something you can always count on).
  • What is the Gospel? (libertychurchonline.wordpress.com)
Man kind went away from God, thousands of years ago, our ancestors did.  They rejected the awesome presence of God, and decided to try to make it on their own.  Now today we live in the wake of that.
  • God made my flaws flawless! (fightingformylifeblog.com)
God breathed life in you and gave you a piece of his identity. You were made in the image of God and the closer you get to him, his likeness and characteristics will soon become yours. Know that nothing is flawed on you when you look like God from the inside out. So I say, Love all of You because at the end of the day, you are embracing God because you are his marvelous creation.
  • Adam and Eve are Ancient “Archetypes” (jacksonwu.org)
Walton’s argument suggests that theological presuppositions are precisely what keep us from understanding God’s authoritative meaning in Gen 1–3.
